You'll love the
smooth and mild taste of the New Harvest AIM BarleyLife?
AIM
proudly announces? the new harvest!
Now, AIM BarleyLife? is better than ever?with the introduction of the ?new
harvest!?
Over the years, we?ve listened to you, and we took your preferences to heart.
By making a few small, incremental changes, we?ve improved the flavor of AIM
BarleyLife?. Now, you will enjoy a smoother and milder taste, with increased
solubility for easier mixing! In short, the new harvest is what you?ve told us
you want in a green juice product!
Renewing the heart of it and making it good!
How did we do it?
One theory in business practice today ?is that breakthroughs result not from
massive reorganization or large-scale investment projects but from the
cumulative efforts of successive incremental improvements.?1
For the AIM Companies?, interest in continuous incremental improvement is
ongoing. We have always believed that the green barley juice concentrate that
AIM delivered to the world was good?very good?but that it could become even
better.
The methodology of standardizing and improving in small, but incremental
measures was implemented at every level of the AIM organization. In the seed,
in the soil, in the water, in the planting and harvesting, in the spraying and
drying of the green barley leaves, and in the finished product?we made small,
but continuous improvements at every step.
Finally, we taste-tested the new harvest among a select group of our AIM
Members to see if we had succeeded. The response was an overwhelming ?yes!?
Increased density of the new harvest
When we made some refinements to our spray-dryer, the spray-drying process
became so much more efficient for us. (This has shortened the amount of time
for the barley particles to formulate when exposed to air.) A faster drying
time, smaller particles, and less air space between the particles, has
resulted in a denser, more concentrated product.
For a moment, recall your high school science class regarding weight versus
volume and density. Since the barley particles are smaller, this results in
less volume, for an equal weight of powder.
Check your serving size
You will notice a difference in the volume when you open your jar of the
new harvest. Upon initial inspection, it may seem like a smaller quantity, but
the product is now more concentrated, and the amount of powder contained in
your canister is still a full month?s supply. However, the density of the new
product will affect the way you measure the new harvest (for US Members only).
For US Members, your serving size of 5 grams is the same, but you will measure
one-third less to achieve your 5-gram serving. Previously, you measured 3
teaspoons (1 whole tablespoon) of AIM BarleyLife? to achieve a serving size of
5 grams. The new harvest is more concentrated by volume, so you will now
measure 2 level teaspoons (two-thirds of a tablespoon) for a serving size of 5
grams. With each canister of the new harvest, you will still have
approximately a full month?s supply (if you take two 5-gram servings per day).
Our Canadian Members have already had the new serving size (two-thirds of a
tablespoon) in their market and will realize no difference in their serving
measurement. (By simply introducing the new serving size to US Members only,
this will allow us to standardize our serving sizes throughout North America.)
For our Canadian Members, a 30-day supply of AIM BarleyLife? will now come in
a 300-gram canister. This is still a full month?s supply, and will allow for
two 5-gram servings per day.
Better taste and texture!
When we made improvements to our spray-drying process, we were taken by
surprise in two important areas: taste and texture. The smaller barley
particles offer a better tasting product, and also provide for a smoother
mixing experience.
With its smaller particles and greater solubility, the new harvest dissolves
quickly in water, creating a smoother texture to our barley juice drink. This
better solubility not only improves the taste of AIM BarleyLife?, but it also
makes it easier for you to rinse your glass! You will notice less residue
remaining in your mixing and drinking container.
When we taste-tested the new harvest among our select group of Members, the
remarks were outstanding. Members were delighted with the smaller particles,
smooth and mild taste, and easy cleanup!
Nutritional value remains
The nutritional value remains in the AIM BarleyLife?. In fact, the new
harvest was recently tested for something relatively new. A current trend in
health supplements today is to measure for oxygen radical absorption capacity
(ORAC). You will be pleased to know that the new harvest scored highly in this
category, ranking way above traditional foods such as prunes, raisins, spinach
and broccoli, in terms of free-radical fighting capacity.
When considering beta-carotene content alone, a typical serving of the new
harvest is equal to one serving of raw carrots, and contains 18 times the
amount beta-carotene found in a typical serving of broccoli.
We think everyone will be delighted with the new harvest of AIM BarleyLife?,
with its smooth and mild taste, and better solubility. And, we?ve worked
relentlessly over the past several months to make the small, but necessary
improvements to bring it to you.
