AIM BarleyLife See AIM changes to BarleyLife for more information. or see BarleyLife |
AIM's previous barley juice powder used the same technology that it started with over 20 years ago. AIM's barley juice powder was diminishing in quality while its cost was increasing. AIM logged many customer complaints and soon realized that a better barley juice product was critical to barley juice users and to AIM. So AIM set out on a 4-year journey to produce and exceedingly better barley juice powder - AIM BarleyLife. AIM insisted on a number of factors for optimum quality and nutritional density. Only one cutting of the barley leaves per planting. Two or three cuttings are possible but each cutting reduces the nutritional density by about half. Although higher yields per crop are possible by letting the grass grow higher, AIM insists that the barley leaves be harvested at the jointing stage when the nutrients are their highest. Maltodextrin is critical to lock in freshness and provide adequate shelf life without product degradation. AIM chose to use a higher quality, low DE (dextrose equivalent), maltodextrin. Low DE maltodextrin does not convert to glucose quickly and is not as sweet as high DE maltodextrin. However low DE maltodextrin is better healthwise. AIM develped several new technologies to assure optimum quality. After 4 years of research and development by AIM, AIM BarleyLife was introduced in July of 2002 as a replacement for AIM's previous barley juice powder. Long time barley juice powder users are seeing dramatically better results with BarleyLife. It is denser nutritionally so folks can use less if desired and get better results and the cost is lower!
BarleyLife vs AIM's previous barley juice powder.
BarleyLife and Barleyg appear to be the same on
ingredient lists. However the barley juice in BarleyLife is dramatically
denser nutritionally, BarleyLife's kelp is whole and not ashed and it
contains less of a higher quality maltodextrin. Barleyg protein was
running at about 12.5%. BarleyLife is running 22-30%. BarleyLife's
Beta Carotene is around 27,400 and the Barleyg ( ) was running 5,450. Barleyg's
superoxide dismutase (SOD) was
running 270-350 with
the highest ever being 783.
BarleyLife averaged 1060U/g SOD in 2002 and 1382U/g in 2003 with
additional improvement in 2004! Accross
the board BarleyLife nutrients are denser and users are seeing better
results. This is expected because of AIM's
patent-pending cold concentration
filtration process and tremendous
focus on quality.
Nutrient Density
This table shows typical nutrient content
per 5 grams of powder which is a bit less than a tablespoon or 6
BarleyLife Capsules.
The antioxidant Lutonarin
(7-O-GIO) is 22 times higher in BarleyLife then what it has been in
Barleyg. When all the nutrients that are considered antioxidants
are comprehended the overall antioxidant potential of BarleyLife is
dramatically higher (11.9 times) as can
be seen with BarleyLife's ORAC number see
BarleyLife ORAC .
Why BarleyLife? BarleyLife is
a powder (also available in caplets), concentrated 30 times from organically
grown young barley leaves. These leaves are cut, juiced and spray dried in a
vacuum preserving it in its original state without damage to the
many nutrients. It is a whole food containing a natural balance of
vitamins, minerals, amino acids (protein),
phytochemicals(antioxidants etc.), enzymes, chlorophyll, with a neutral pH,
and everything else in the barley leaf that
man has not yet discovered.
Here are a list of reasons we believe BarleyLife is the absolute best barley juice product available on the market today and will continue to be for many years to come.
